  Definitely worth MORE than 3 stars. 5 in my opinion. Beautifully renovated rooms with either a garden terrace with tropical plants or a pool view, very good buffet with plenty of choice which changed every day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at, never wanted to leave. The only thing it needed was AC in the rooms but that did not put me off at all - I will definitely be returning very soon. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing holiday for our 4 year anniversary!

  The biggest problem in our case was that rooms lack of air conditioner or fans, so you MUST sleep with all the windows open meaning you will have plenty of noise during night.

  The hotel is cheap, but if you are staying at the latest floor (we were on the last.. The 4th) expect it to be really hot until 3am when everything starts to chill.

  I stayed in the hotel San Borondon for 5 days, it's a nice and clean enough hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, but it has some big deficiencies.

  First night we listened for 1 hour how a neighbor or someone on the street was having sex.

  The best thing about this hotel is the pool and its cheap, the food and drinks are regular you can eat much better downtown and cheaper, the worst is the lack of cooling system or simple fans on demand for the rooms.

  Clean and organized. No air conditioned, no refrigerator in the room and no mini bar. The wifi signal was very poor so we couldn't use the internet in our room. The only area where the wifi worked was at the reception, and maybe in the rooms nearby. When I announced the receptionist about the wifi problem she told me that internet connection should work but didn' t do nothing to help me in my connection problem.

  BTW I asked for a portable fan, they say they only have 1 fan for the whole (ridicule I think...) hotel and it's taken already.
