  Towel was not very clean. Room smelled like sewer. Slept horribly thanks to noises coming from other rooms and apartments (room window was on a tiny courtyard), including the flushing of toilets, coughing, music and TV in the middle of the night. The shower was warm and there were beds. Not recommended.

  Recommendations for the hotel: get single double size mattresses (ist hard to cuddle when bed slides apart), put a free for use grill on the roof and some nice chairs there.

  A low cost hotel which has everything I need: a comfortable bed, hot shower, usable WiFi, a basic but filling continental breakfast, laundry service, printing, etc. There have been piecemeal renovations, although the ageing fabric of the building shows through in places. Puerto Azul is a small enough hotel that the staff are friendly and helpful, and get to know you. I have stayed here several times and would stay here again in the future.

  This is not the hotel for the people who wants to stay inside all day. It has small balcony and a rooftop where you can relax and enjoy yourself, otherwise go and enjoy the city/island.

  Super place for the money, compared to the price is worth it in every way. Service and friendliness is in top, location is away from the big hotel areas and more in the city, with small streets, cosy cafes all around and the beach is near.
